 Fulbright Grants to Italy are offered to United States citizens: 

  • College graduates, Master or doctoral degree candidates, young professionals and artists
  • Scholars  and professionals
  • U.S. high school teachers and professors who are currently teaching Latin, Greek, Italian, Classical Studies, or Ancient Art.


Fulbright Grants to Italy are awarded to carry out a study/research project, lecture and/or conduct research, serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at Italian universities, assist English language teachers in Italian high schools.

Applicants should have sufficient proficiency in  written and spoken  Italian to carry out their project.

All Fulbright grants include a travel allowance to cover round-trip travel expenses between United States and Italy. Fulbright grantees are covered by Accident and Sickness Insurance provided by  United States Department of State.
